David Barlow is a principal owner of BEFit Physical Therapy and has been practicing physical therapy for more than 25 years. He earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the Institute of Health Professions at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and later completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Throughout his career, David has pursued extensive advanced training in evaluating and treating orthopedic injuries. He was an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist for 20 years. His continuing education includes specialized training in orthotic assessment and fabrication, dry needling, and a wide range of advanced manual therapy techniques, allowing him to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
A graduate of Hanover High School's Class of 1982, David is grateful to be in the Upper Valley, where he enjoys serving the community he has long called home. He lives in Norwich, Vermont, with his wife, Kate, a native of Manly Beach, Australia, their 16-year-old twins, Teddy and Amelia, and their dog, Maxi.
David enjoys treating patients of all ages and activity levels and is experienced in managing a broad spectrum of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. His personal experiences recovering from injuries have given him valuable insight into the rehabilitation process, fostering a practical, empathetic approach to patient care.
Outside the clinic, David leads an active lifestyle and enjoys soccer, skiing, tennis, and running. During the winter months, he can often be found on the paddle tennis courts, one of his favorite sports and pastimes.
